Compensation
This is a W-2 position paying $23–$28 per hour. Starting pay within the range depends on relevant experience.
About this opportunity
Star Dental is seeking a friendly, organized, dependable and patient-focused Dental Front Office Coordinator for our in-person Denver office. This team member will help manage daily front-desk operations and give patients a welcoming, professional experience from their first phone call through checkout.

We serve children, teens, adults and older adults, including patients with different insurance and payment situations such as Health First Colorado, PPO plans and self-pay. We aim to meet people where they are, communicate clearly and treat every patient with respect.
This is an in-person W-2 position at Star Dental, 1490 S Sheridan Blvd, Unit 102, Denver, CO 80232, near the Lakewood boundary. Full-time and part-time arrangements are available. There is no set schedule for this posting, and some evening or weekend hours are expected.

Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to nonclinical patient questions professionally; route clinical questions to the appropriate clinical team member.
- Schedule, confirm and reschedule appointments.
- Greet patients and manage check-in and checkout.
- Register new patients and update patient information.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, frequencies and limitations.
- Enter insurance information accurately into the dental software.
- Prepare estimates from dentist-approved treatment plans and explain estimated—not guaranteed—patient portions.
- Collect copayments, deductibles and outstanding patient balances.
- Post payments and complete patient checkout accurately.
- Submit dental insurance claims and required documentation.
- Follow up on outstanding, rejected or denied insurance claims.
- Contact patients regarding recalls, unfinished treatment and available appointments.
- Help maintain a productive daily schedule.
- Communicate closely with dentists, dental assistants and other team members.
- Protect patient information and follow HIPAA requirements.
Required qualifications
- Excellent telephone, communication and customer-service skills.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy dental office.
- Professional, dependable and positive approach, with confidence working directly with patients.
- Experience using dental software and basic office technology.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous dental front-office experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with dental insurance verification, claims and patient billing is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are a plus.
