A listed denture benefit is not automatic approval
Current Health First Colorado materials list qualifying complete and partial removable dentures as adult dental benefits. Starting July 1, 2026, covered dentures are not counted toward the adult $3,000 benefit limit. That exception concerns the limit; it does not remove the other rules that determine whether a denture is covered.
Active eligibility, an enrolled provider and location, clinical documentation, and prior authorization may be required. The current adult summary also lists complete or partial dentures once every seven years, so prior denture history matters when the program reviews a new request.
Check the exact denture request and history
Complete dentures, partial dentures, repairs, relines, and rebases are not interchangeable benefit questions. Repairs and adjustments can follow different rules from a new removable denture, and the needed records depend on the treatment being requested. A dental evaluation supplies the clinical information used to plan care and support any required submission.
The Colorado Medicaid denture coverage guide explains the current benefit, authorization process, history considerations, and verification steps in more detail. Read that guide as the authoritative resource, then contact Star Dental so the team can review available benefit information without promising coverage before the program's decision.
Important: This is general benefit information, not a coverage guarantee. Eligibility, clinical criteria, authorization, documentation, frequency, and replacement rules apply, and the program makes the final decision.
