Meet Dr. Florina Menina, DDS

A patient-centered approach to dental care

Dr. Florina Menina is the owner and a general dentist at Star Dental. She brings more than 15 years of experience in general dentistry, patient care and dental-practice leadership to the Denver office. Originally from Toronto, Canada, she now calls Denver home. She enjoys caring for patients at every stage of life—from a child’s early dental visits to adults who want to restore comfort, function and confidence in their smiles.

Her approach begins with listening. Dr. Menina believes dental treatment should be conservative, personalized and easy to understand. She takes time to learn what is concerning each patient, explain her findings in plain language and discuss reasonable treatment options. Whenever clinically appropriate, she looks for ways to preserve healthy tooth structure and avoid care that is more extensive than necessary.

Dr. Menina’s clinical interests include cosmetic and restorative dentistry. She especially enjoys helping patients improve front teeth with natural-looking treatments such as bonding, veneers or crowns when those options are appropriate. She also enjoys dental surgery within the scope of general dentistry, including simple and complex extractions. Her goal is to balance health, function and appearance while keeping each patient’s priorities at the center of the treatment plan.

Children are also an important part of her practice. Dr. Menina’s background includes pediatric restorative care, and she values creating calm, positive visits for young patients. She enjoys answering parents’ questions, helping children become comfortable in the dental office and caring for multiple generations of the same family.

Dr. Menina earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry in 2010 after completing an honours bachelor’s degree in biology at York University. During her career in Canada, she founded and led several dental practices and served in owner, principal-dentist and clinical-director roles. That experience strengthened her belief in coordinated teams, consistent care and a patient experience built on respect and communication.

Outside the office, Dr. Menina enjoys spending time with her husband, their children and their two Dobermans. Although Toronto will always be an important part of her story, she and her family are proud to call Denver home.

At Star Dental, Dr. Menina welcomes children and adults for preventive, restorative, cosmetic and urgent dental care. She wants patients to leave each visit understanding what was found, what their options are and what to expect next.
