Same-Day Denture Repair in Denver
Star Dental can usually complete denture repairs the same day in Denver, but we first need to assess whether the denture can be repaired. Timing varies with the damage and work required. Call before coming in, describe what broke and bring the appliance with every available piece.

Start by describing the break
Tell the team whether the pink base has cracked, the denture has separated into pieces, a replacement tooth has come out or a retaining part has changed. Mention whether the appliance was dropped, broke during eating or had already become loose. Those details help the team plan the assessment.
If the denture was made at another office, say so when you call and ask about assessment of that appliance. The material, design, missing pieces and overall condition can affect what is possible. A same-day repair expectation should be confirmed after examination of the actual denture.
What the assessment needs to answer
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Can the broken parts be restored reliably? | Some damage is repairable; some calls for replacement |
| Are any pieces or teeth missing? | The work may involve more than joining a visible crack |
| Did the denture fit before it broke? | Repairing damage may not solve a separate fit problem |
| Has it broken before? | A repeated problem needs a closer look at the cause |
| Has your mouth changed? | Tooth loss or tissue changes may affect the appliance |
Our in-house denture technician helps coordinate repair work with the treating dental team. The first task is to choose an appropriate solution, then establish the time and estimate for it.
Same-day repair does not mean every repair is identical
A repair may involve replacing a denture tooth, addressing a break or other appliance work. The actual material and design determine the options. Some problems can be managed promptly; others require additional stages, components or a new appliance.
Tell the team if you depend on the denture for work, eating or speaking, and whether you have a backup. Ask when it can be assessed, what the expected collection time is and whether that time could change after the technician examines it. Do not leave assuming a fixed turnaround before the plan is confirmed.
Repair, fit correction or replacement?
Repair addresses damaged parts. Fit correction addresses how the appliance meets the mouth. Replacement creates a new appliance when that is the better solution. A reline, which changes the tissue-facing fit surface, is another possible clinical discussion; it is not the same as fixing a broken tooth or base.
If the denture has been loose for months and then breaks, both issues deserve attention. Read our loose-denture guide or repair-versus-replacement explanation before the visit if you want help organizing the questions.
Protect the appliance while arranging care
Keep every available piece together in a protective container. Avoid household glue, heating the denture or grinding it yourself. The ADA warns that do-it-yourself alterations can damage a denture and make repair more difficult. Describe sharp areas or mouth irritation when calling and ask whether the appliance should be left out until it is assessed.
Bring the current denture, any backup, relevant earlier records and your coverage information. If a part is missing, say so rather than trying to create a substitute.
Fees and follow-up
Ask for the assessment and repair charges after the work is identified. Star’s conventional full- or partial-denture price is a new-appliance range, not a repair fee. Coverage for a repair can also differ from coverage for a new denture.
Before taking it home, ask what was repaired, whether the fit needs further attention and what to do if the problem recurs. A repaired appliance still needs to work comfortably with your mouth; report a change rather than continuing to use it through persistent pain.
Frequently asked questions
Can my denture be fixed today?
Usually repairs can be completed the same day, but Star must first assess repairability. The damage, design and work needed determine the timing.
Should I glue the pieces together first?
No. Keep the pieces together and arrange assessment. Household glue and home alterations can affect the appliance and complicate repair.
Do I need an appointment?
Call first so the team can discuss the problem and today’s availability. Arriving without calling may involve a wait and does not guarantee that the repair can be completed that visit.
What if the denture broke because it was loose?
Tell the dentist. Repairing a crack does not necessarily correct the fit, and the plan may need to address both the appliance and its support.
