Partial Dentures in Denver

Partial dentures replace missing teeth while keeping useful natural teeth. Star Dental offers partial dentures in Denver with an in-house technician, and eligible cases can usually be delivered in as little as one week after impressions. Conventional partial dentures generally cost $900–$1,100 per arch; your dentist will explain the design and full estimate.

A partial is planned around the teeth you still have

The missing spaces matter, but so do the remaining teeth, gums and bite. The dentist assesses the whole situation before choosing how the appliance should be supported. A partial intended for long-term use and a temporary flipper may have different purposes even though both replace missing teeth.

Tell us which spaces affect you most: a visible gap, difficulty chewing or a replacement you no longer wear comfortably. Bring an old partial if available. Explain whether it became loose, broke, felt bulky or no longer matched your mouth after further tooth loss.

Discuss the actual design

Removable partial dentures can use different bases, frameworks and attachments. The ADA’s partial-denture overview explains these general design differences. The dentist should name the option being recommended for you; a website illustration does not establish that every material or attachment is available or appropriate.

Ask about… Why it matters
Teeth being replaced Makes the purpose and extent of the appliance clear
Remaining supporting teeth Identifies any treatment needed before fabrication
How the appliance stays in place Helps you understand fit, appearance and handling
Temporary or longer-term role Sets expectations about later treatment
Cleaning and removal Makes daily care part of the plan

The Star partial-denture process

First, the dentist assesses suitability and explains the plan. Any required insurance approval and preparation need to be addressed before the relevant treatment stage. Impressions provide the information used to make the partial, and our in-house technician coordinates fabrication with the dental team.

For eligible cases, we can usually deliver the completed partial in as little as one week after impressions. The fitting appointment checks the appliance in your mouth and includes instructions for use. Ask which follow-up adjustments are included and when to report a fit concern.

The broader schedule can be longer if the mouth needs treatment, records need repeating or approval is pending. Our one-week denture guide separates those milestones so you know what the timing claim measures.

Cost, coverage and separate treatment

Star’s published conventional partial-denture range is $900–$1,100 for one arch, with impressions, applicable try-ins, delivery and some initial adjustments included. A flipper, implant-supported plan, immediate denture or repair should not be priced by substituting this range.

The remaining teeth may need separate treatment, and any such care should appear on the written estimate. If you have Medicaid, ask about eligibility, the proposed service and approval requirements. If you pay yourself, ask about payment timing and any deposit before work begins. See denture costs for the existing published details.

After the partial is fitted

Ask the team to demonstrate insertion and removal and explain care for both the appliance and the natural teeth. If it presses, moves or becomes hard to wear, describe where and when that happens. Do not bend clasps or force the appliance into place by biting down; arrange a professional check.

A repair addresses damage; it may not solve an underlying fit problem. If the partial has broken repeatedly or your mouth has changed, the assessment may involve more than fixing the visible break. Our repair and loose-denture guides explain those questions.

Frequently asked questions

Is a partial the same as a flipper?

A flipper is commonly a temporary removable replacement. Ask whether the proposed appliance is intended as an interim solution or a longer-term partial, and what the later plan involves.

Do I need all my teeth removed to get a partial?

No. A partial is designed for a mouth where useful natural teeth remain. The dentist assesses which teeth can be retained and how they affect the design.

Is the one-week timeline guaranteed?

No. Eligible partials can usually be completed in as little as one week after impressions. Preparation, approval and case requirements affect timing.

Is the price per missing tooth?

The published conventional range is per arch, not per missing tooth. Your estimate should identify the appliance, the teeth replaced and any separate treatment.
