Flipper Tooth in Denver

A flipper is a removable temporary tooth replacement that may help fill a gap while a longer-term plan is arranged. Star Dental offers flippers in Denver. Call for an assessment of the missing tooth or planned extraction, the appearance you want and the timing you need; the design and fee are specific to your case.

What problem can a flipper help solve?

Patients often ask about a temporary replacement when a front tooth is missing or when treatment will leave a visible gap. The first question is not just how quickly a tooth can be made, but what the appliance is expected to do while the rest of the plan proceeds.

Tell the dentist whether you want a temporary appearance solution, help during healing or time to consider a longer-term replacement. Also explain upcoming work, travel or social commitments. Those goals help the team discuss a suitable interim option without confusing it with the final treatment.

Assessment comes before the appliance

The dentist considers the missing space, nearby teeth, gums, bite and any planned surgery. A temporary appliance still needs a design that works with your mouth. If a tooth has not yet been removed, raise the replacement question before extraction day so planning and fabrication can be discussed in advance.

Bring an existing appliance if you have one. If you already have an extraction or implant plan from another office, bring the records or ask how to transfer them. Star will make its own assessment and explain whether the proposed temporary replacement fits the overall sequence.

Flipper, partial or immediate denture?

Term Main planning question
Flipper Is this an appropriate temporary replacement for the gap?
Conventional partial denture Is the appliance intended for longer-term use around remaining teeth?
Immediate denture Is it being prepared before extractions for insertion afterward?
Implant-supported restoration Which surgical, healing and restorative stages are involved?

These terms can overlap in ordinary conversation, so ask the team to name the actual appliance and its intended role. Our partial denture guide and immediate denture guide explain those pathways in more detail.

Timing and the in-house technician

Star’s in-house denture technician helps coordinate appliance work directly with the treating team. Certain cases may be considered for a rush, but a flipper’s timing must be assessed separately. The one-week example for eligible conventional partials is not a promise that every flipper can be made on that schedule.

Ask when records can be taken, whether any preparation is needed, when fitting is expected and what happens if the mouth changes during healing. “Ready for an event” and “ready for normal long-term use” may be different goals. Be clear about which one you are asking the team to address.

Ask for a flipper-specific estimate

There is no single flipper price established by the conventional denture range. Request an estimate for the actual appliance, including assessment, records, fitting and any planned follow-up. Extractions or later definitive replacement should appear separately when applicable.

If you have coverage, ask about the proposed service and its intended temporary role. A covered conventional denture benefit should not automatically be assumed to cover a particular flipper. The estimate comparison worksheet can help keep temporary and final treatment costs separate.

Questions before taking it home

Ask the dentist how to insert, remove, clean and store the appliance, when to wear it and what eating limitations apply to your design. Report pressure areas or instability rather than adjusting it yourself. If the appliance is used during healing, make sure you understand the follow-up plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a flipper for one missing front tooth?

That can be a reason to assess a temporary removable replacement. The dentist needs to check the gap, nearby teeth, bite and overall treatment plan before recommending the design.

Is a flipper a permanent solution?

It is commonly used as an interim replacement. Ask how long your particular appliance is intended to serve and which later options should be considered.

Can it be made on the day I walk in?

Do not assume same-day manufacture. Call with the situation and deadline so the team can assess the records, fabrication and fitting steps required.

Does the $900–$1,100 denture range apply?

That range is for conventional full or partial dentures per arch. A flipper requires its own estimate and should not be assigned that price automatically.
