Implant-Supported Dentures in Denver

Star Dental offers implant-supported denture care in Denver, including for patients whose implants were placed at another clinic. An assessment checks your existing implants, appliance, mouth and treatment goals before the restorative plan is chosen. Bring implant records if available and ask which stages and components your estimate includes.

What implant support changes

An implant-supported denture uses implants as part of its support or retention instead of relying only on the conventional denture-bearing tissues. Designs differ: how an appliance attaches, whether you remove it yourself and how it is cleaned depend on the actual system.

The term does not identify one universal “snap-on” or fixed design. Ask the dentist to name the proposed configuration and demonstrate how it works. Our educational comparison of dentures and implants explains the main planning differences without assuming every design is appropriate for every patient.

Already have implants from another office?

Tell us where and when they were placed and what appliance you currently use. Useful records can include the implant manufacturer or system, placement details, earlier images and the restoring dentist’s notes. If you do not have that information, start the call anyway and ask how it may be requested.

Star can assess implant-supported denture work on implants placed elsewhere, but compatibility and the health of the supporting structures must be evaluated. An existing implant does not automatically mean a new attachment or appliance can simply be fitted without further planning.

Separate the treatment stages

Stage or component What to clarify
Assessment and records What information is needed about your mouth and implants?
Implant placement, if needed Who would perform surgery and what preparation is involved?
Healing and integration Which checks must occur before the next stage?
Attachments or connecting components Which system and parts are required?
Denture fabrication and fitting What appliance is being made and who provides it?
Maintenance How is it cleaned, checked and serviced over time?

The ADA’s implant overview distinguishes implant placement, healing and the replacement teeth. Star’s in-house denture technician does not turn the entire surgical and healing process into a one-week treatment. Ask which stages occur at Star and whether a specialist should handle others.

If an existing appliance is loose or damaged

Describe the change precisely: does the denture move, does an attachment feel different, or is there a visible broken part? Mention pain, swelling or a change around an implant. Bring the appliance and any available components for assessment, without trying to force or alter them yourself.

A conventional denture repair and an implant-related maintenance problem are not interchangeable. The team needs to identify whether the issue involves the appliance, an attachment, the bite or the supporting tissues before discussing timing and cost.

Build an estimate that includes the whole plan

Ask for separate entries for assessment, any surgery, components, the denture and follow-up. If treatment is coordinated with another office, identify which fees belong to each provider. The conventional $900–$1,100 per-arch denture range is not an implant-supported package price.

Coverage must be checked for the exact service and program. Do not assume that a benefit for removable conventional dentures includes implants or every implant-supported component. Our estimate worksheet helps organize the questions before treatment begins.

Frequently asked questions

Can Star help if another clinic placed my implants?

Yes, Star offers implant-supported denture care in that situation. The dentist first assesses the implants, records, component compatibility and the care you need.

Do you offer every fixed or snap-on system?

The appropriate configuration and compatibility need to be confirmed for your case. Ask the team to explain the actual design rather than relying on a generic label.

Are implant dentures ready in a week?

The one-week example concerns eligible partial-denture fabrication. Implant-related assessment, surgery, healing and restoration have separate requirements and timelines.

Does Medicaid cover the entire implant plan?

Do not assume it does. Eligibility and benefits must be checked for the specific program, procedure and components. Conventional denture coverage is not proof of implant coverage.
