Health First Colorado is Colorado's Medicaid program. Dental benefits are available to enrolled members of all ages, and DentaQuest helps administer the dental benefit.
At Star Dental, our team can check whether your coverage is active, review the benefits available for your recommended treatment and help with authorization steps when needed. New patients, emergencies and walk-ins are welcome.

No Copayments or Deductibles for Covered Dental Benefits
The current Health First Colorado adult dental benefit summary states that covered dental benefits do not have copayments, a deductible or an out-of-pocket maximum. Colorado also states that children enrolled in Health First Colorado do not have additional costs for covered dental services.
For many members, this makes it possible to receive important covered dental care without copayments or deductibles. We will check the benefits for your recommended treatment and explain your options clearly.

Dental Emergency With Medicaid?
Call Star Dental for tooth pain, swelling, an abscess, infection, a broken tooth, an injury or another urgent dental problem. We are open seven days and accept walk-ins, although calling first helps us reserve enough time for diagnosis and treatment.
Medicaid Dentures and Replacement Dentures
Health First Colorado includes complete and partial dentures among adult dental benefits. Help may also be available for dentures that are lost, stolen or broken beyond repair. Our team can review your situation and help gather the information needed.

Needed extractions, including wisdom-teeth treatment, can be covered. Star Dental also offers sedation for appropriate patients. We can evaluate you, review your benefits and help with any authorization that is needed.
What if I do not know my Medicaid number or cannot find my card?
Call us anyway. Bring your photo ID and any insurance information you have. Health First Colorado states that members do not need a physical card to receive services, although identifying information is needed to verify active coverage. Our team can help with the eligibility lookup.
Does Star Dental see both children and adults with Medicaid?
Yes. We provide family and children's dentistry in a friendly environment with kid-focused treatment rooms, modern digital X-rays and panoramic imaging. New patients of all ages are welcome.
Can I walk in without an appointment?
Walk-ins are accepted. We recommend calling first whenever possible so we can reserve enough time for a proper examination and any same-day treatment that may be available.
Do you have Spanish-speaking staff?
Yes. Spanish-speaking staff are available to help patients communicate with the office, understand the visit and discuss scheduling and benefits.
